Learn tips and tricks on how to effectively strengthen and lengthen your hips and legs towards a supportive and or full Hanumanasana, Monkey Pose (splits). Oftentimes we think flexibility is the key to this challenging yet very fun and deep hip opening asana (pose). We forget that we need to first strengthen the muscles that support one in this pose. Hanumanasana is exceptionally good for rock climbers because it can give length and strength in your hips and legs in those hard to reach places, it will also give you complete awareness of where your hips are in space. Another benefit by taking this class is we will explore splits on the wall which eliminates excess weight dumping into your hips. By the end of this class you will gain a better understanding of the steps needed to take in order to bring yourself into full Hanumanasana with specific practices and exercises.
