My “AHA” Moment

I thought I knew what being free felt like, but then I attended What the Festival, my first musical festival in Oregon. Running around, dancing, skipping, singing, smiling, playing; I had a tutu on and glitter on my skin, glistening in the sun and sparkling at night. Never had I felt so free before in my life. It was in this moment that I discovered there was more to life than anything I could have imagined, and no matter my age, there was still a child inside that wanted to play.

Fast forward a few years later. I was bartending at the time, pulling all-nighters with my customers, drinking on the job, and not giving my body the care and attention it needed. I disliked where I was at in my life, but I felt stuck not knowing what to do next or how to change the path I was on. I had found yoga and had a practice of my own when I stumbled into a yoga class at Envision Festival in Costa Rica. It was so juicy and heartfelt, filling my body with a message so loud and explosive that kept whispering in my ear: follow your heart, do what makes you happy. It was then, in that yoga class underneath the bamboo I had my AHA moment: I knew I wanted to be a Yoga teacher.

I am a yoga teacher who uses my platform to stand behind my voice, clearly speaking the truth and wisdom that my students need to hear. I know this because of the deep connection I have with myself through my yoga and meditation practice, and for choosing love over fear, always.

My Yoga “Style”

People always ask me what style of yoga I teach and I like to tell them it’s Natasha’s yoga, my own unique offering that intertwines the ancient philosophy of yoga with the “here and now” yoga, combining light and love, with the real and raw.

Building from my foundational trainings with Rocky Heron and Ana Forrest, along with my love for rock climbing and all things outdoor. I blend strength building, Forrest Yoga core techniques, mindfulness, and playfulness, while encouraging you to tap into your physical and mental potential. The most essential part of my classes is Pranayama (breath work), guiding the class to breathe in unison so that you can feel a part of something bigger than yourself.

You will laugh, you will play, you will connect, and you may possibly shed a tear, but mostly you will be invited to truly become who you aspire to be both on and off your mat.

“Let us live. Let us learn. Let us grow.
Let us come together.
Let us laugh.
Let us love in ALL ways.”
